The Italian Design Hub (IDH) is a conceptual showroom and cooperative space created to allow developers, architects and contractors across the GCC to explore the potential of trend-setting Italian interior design. Beyond a showroom, the space was conceived as a meeting point for design, architecture, materials and ideas.
The excellence of Made in Italy is rooted in the richness of Italian culture — in its art, architecture, craftsmanship and distinctive approach to aesthetic expression.
Following this philosophy, IDH aimed to recreate in Bahrain the same blending of art, culture and craftsmanship that forms part of everyday life in Italy, sharing it with both GCC design professionals and the wider community.
Rather than presenting Italian design as a static collection, the hub brings products, materials and architectural elements into a spatial experience where professionals can discover them in context.
The environment combines furniture, lighting, surfaces, doors, textiles and architectural finishes into one cohesive setting — creating a place where specification and inspiration can coexist.
“A platform where design, architecture and ideas meet.”
The hub brings together Italian companies representing different disciplines of the interior environment — from architectural doors and sintered surfaces to rugs, mosaics, lighting, parquet and bespoke craftsmanship.
The result is not simply a collection of products, but a material library expressed through architecture.
The IDH concept brought together specialist Italian brands across architecture, materials, surfaces, textiles, lighting and craftsmanship.
IDH was conceived as more than a destination for products. It provides a platform where professionals across design, architecture and urban space can engage in open dialogue through thought-provoking events, workshops and innovative discussions.
